The Christian Education Committee of MAPCA has its mission to teach and train to the MA PCA community the Word of God.  This is done through the various ministries of the church to include Sunday School for all ages, Men's and Women's ministries, Vacation Bible School, conferences and other didactic tools to help the Word of God to saturate every aspect of our lives.

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.  As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”

Ephesians 4:11-16

Christian Education is to promote the principles outlined in Ephesians 4.   The saints are to be equipped for the work of service inside and outside the confines of the church.  The saints build up the Body of Christ (The Church) as it pertains to the exercise of offices of leadership, spiritual gifts, the exercise of faith in life's trials and temptations.  The saints build this Body of Christ to attain unity of the faith and the knowledge of God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  The desired result of this Christian Education is; you will no longer be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by trickery of men, by craftiness and deceitful scheming.  As Hebrews 5:14 relates:  “But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.”   The CE Committee is here to help you prepare to live out the dynamics of the Christian Life.

Please consider being a vital part of this ministry of MA PCA.  We have openings on the CE Committee; we are recruiting for VBS and Fall 2009 Sunday School.  We have opportunities with the Youth Group, both middle and high school.  If you have a desire to participate with us, please see or email Andy Ludlum. amludlum@comcast.net
